1. Desk Organizer
Desk organizers are one the most basic and practical solutions to staying organized. One of the most recent ones that I have seen is the Fjalla desk organizer from Ikea. Many people have used it to sort your scrapbooking supplies and Project Life cards. The size is perfect to fit on a desk or nearby table where you keep your most used supplies.

2. Rolling Craft Carts & Inserts
Rolling craft carts are such a hot item right now! You can get them at Ikea (Raskog cart), Michaels (which has some fun colors), and Amazon. These carts give you so many different opportunities for organizing scrapbooking supplies. A lot of people also use the Antonius plastic bin insert from Ikea in the carts for even more organization. They are easy to assemble, easy to use, and you can roll the cart wherever you need it!
3. Cropper Hopper Paper Storage
Cropper Hopper Paper Storage products allow you to store cardstock, paper, and other larger items long term. There are a few different products and you will likely find them hidden in craft room tours. For many scrapbookers these are a go-to product for keeping your paper in good shape.
4. Plastic Drawers
Plastic drawers of any size are great for storing and organizing scrapbooking supplies. The bonus to many of these drawers is they easily stack on top of each other so you can build a tower of supplies. There are a variety of sizes – some that even fit the 12×12 size paper.
Bonus item: You can also find the plastic shelves that have removable “drawers”. These drawers are actually self-closing and used on the go. They are hard to find, but are another great option!
5. Storage Cubes
Storage cubes make sorting and organizing any space more functional for scrapbooking. Be sure that the storage cubes are larger than 12×12 to fit albums, paper holders, and other large items. Stack them together and you can have a wall of clean, sleek storage. You can buy them in individual squares or one larger shelf in a variety of sizes.
6. Peg Board
Peg boards are a great way to save on space and keep your supplies within arms reach. They can be customized however you want and are easy to DIY at home. I’ve found a great resource on how to make your own peg board if you are interested. However, you can also purchase a ready made plastic peg board with hooks and bins in a variety of colors.
7. Decorative Boxes & Photo Boxes
Both photo boxes and decorative boxes can be found at practically any craft store. They are great for storing photos, larger items, and other supplies. The boxes are also a good way to make your crafting space look clean and you can use them to decorate shelves or even hide the “clutter” look that clear bins can’t hide.
8. Tool Caddy
A tool caddy (or craft tote) are bags that you can use to sort and organize your smaller tools. They make it easy to pick up and go with your supplies (even if it’s just to the next room). Think adhesive, small ephemera, glitter glue, pens, scissors, punches, and all those other little tools.
9. Plastic Photo Cases
Plastic photo cases are some of the best ways to organize not only your photos, but also your embellishments. I’ve seen so many different uses for these mini cases and it has opened up a ton of storage options. Project Life cards, scrapbooking kit embellishments, chipboard, are just a few that can be sorted in the photo cases. They all fit inside a larger box that makes it easy to use on the go and store away when you aren’t using them. Watch a process video here from TalkToHeather who uses them to store her embellishments and Project Life cards.
10. OttLite (Craft Light)
OttLites are amazing for any crafting space. They give true color to anything you are working on, adjustable, and small and compact to take anywhere you need it. They come in a variety of sizes (tall lamp or short table task lamp) and with many options, but all have great lighting.
Another bonus item I have found – an OttLite that also has a desk organizer!
Wrap-Up
Whether your crafting space is big or small, these 10 must have scrapbooking organization products will help keep you organized.

Hi! I have thousands of photos that I have either scrapbooked the doubles or have not used yet. The photos ( and negatives) take up every room in my house!!!
Any ideas?!
Thank you!
My suggestion would be to get some photo storage boxes, they look like shoe boxes but more durable and you can fit up to 5×7 size pictures and separate by year, I cut cardstock and used as dividers and wrote the year, alternated writing at the top left corner with the top right corner
This is such a great idea Jes! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
